COMPOSITION
Note Block Studio allows you to create real music inside Minecraft. To compliment a visual installation on self-inverse scales, composer Louis Cross created four new pieces - so you can listen while you learn!

The students at Minecraft Music School are from a diverse background and vary massively in their digital literacy and musical experience.
Ben is a flamenco and fingerstyle guitarist from Brighton, who is currently on tour with Daniel Martinez Flamenco Company.

Charlie is a singer-songwriter who has recently graduated from Access Creative College in Manchester and is now performing all over the North West region of the UK.

Harry is an acoustic guitarist from Longridge, Lancashire. He is an experienced Minecraft player and occasionally helps the build team with various tasks.
Harry plays bass in TNT, a blues-rock band based in Longridge, Lancashire. He also plays electric and acoustic guitar and has a veracious appetite for music theory.
Tony plays electric guitar in TNT, a blues-rock band based in Longridge, Lancashire. He was brand new to Minecraft but the simplicity of the controls and the design of the campus meant he was able to start learning immediately.
Chris is an electric guitarist from Longridge, Lancashire, who has been studying with Tom for over six years. New to online gaming, his enthusiastic feedback and suggestions have been instrumental in assisting the build team make the world accessible for everyone.
Genesa is a singer-songwriter from Wisconsin, USA, now based in Manchester, UK. She is studying advanced music theory and has recently joined the server to access the colour-coded Scale Machines.
Al is learning flamenco and acoustic guitar as well as keyboard skills and music theory. His design and engineering background has resulted in fantastic feedback for the build team, who have implemented many of his ideas.
Alfie is learning acoustic and electric guitar. He is a very experienced Minecraft player and occasionally joins in with building.
James is studying Grade 6 bass with hopes of studying at University of Salford. He joined the world to gain access to the advanced music theory machines to help with his studies. He is an experienced Minecraft player and will often join in build projects.
Alex is learning acoustic guitar and piano. He is an experienced Minecraft player who contributes to building and server events.
Susan is a mature student who is learning keyboard and ukulele. She is brand new to online gaming and her feedback has been absolutely instrumental in making the world accessible to everyone, regardless of age or digital literacy.
